Regarding spaces, the Raúl Brandão Public Library has 4 floors, and has about 300,000 documents, having a section dedicated to local history, with very important documents. On the other hand, the Public Library of Veria has 3 floors and holds a collection of historical materials in regard to the library space, city, and religion, very useful for research and a collection of science subjects worth mentioning. Altogether, the library has over 100,000 books and a higher number of users. We think that this may be due to the fact that, in Guimarães, the schools have quite complete libraries. Two of the four secondary schools in the city have historical documents from the 19th century, which can be found in the museum of each school. Class: 10LH
