Entity under Public Law and is subordinate to the Ministry of Education and
Religious Affairs. |

Initially, the Library was housed in a rented
building at 3 Ierarchon Street. In May 2003 the Public Central Library of
Veria moved to its new building, which was founded in 2000. |

2010, the Library was awarded the “Access to Learning 2010” award by the Bill
and Melinda Gates Foundation. In December 2012, it was awarded a prize of the
