THE PUBLIC CENTRAL LIBRARY OF VERIA is a Legal Entity under Public Law and is subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.

Initially, the Library was housed in a rented building at 3 Ierarchon Street. In May 2003 the Public Central Library of Veria moved to its new building, which was founded in 2000.

Hours: Monday & Wednesday | 08.00 – 20.00 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday | 08.00 - 15.00

Public Central Library of Veria counts 35,375 members

In August 2010, the Library was awarded the “Access to Learning 2010” award by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In December 2012, it was awarded a prize of the “Academy of Athens” for its educational work.
